Special moments at KPS
Girls State Basketball Knockout Final
On October 20th, the Stage 3 KPS Girls Basketball Team and families travelled to Penrith to compete in the NSW PSSA State Knockout finals. The first game was the quarter final where we were drawn to play St Mary PS from Sydney Southwest; this was a must win game to progress to the semifinal round.
As always, the team played hard, supported each other in defence and offence and played with outstanding sportsmanship. The second half saw us within 3 points but unfortunately St Mary held us at bay with the final score being 25-19. Putting this loss behind them the team went on to play a fantastic game against Coorabell PS; the team were determined to finish the competition with a win, which they did.Congratulations to the girls for the way they represented Keiraville PS and performed throughout the knockout competition; it has been an absolute pleasure to coach the team.
Lastly, a very big thank you to the parents and family members who supported the team by transporting the girls to the various venues and assisting with bench duties.
Southern Stars - 2025
Southern Stars 2025 saw 25, Stage 2 choir students and 32, Stage 3 dance students take to the stage, in what was a breathtaking experience of 4 performances.
We are so proud of our 32 dance students who represented our school at Southern Stars – The Arena Spectacular: Unlimited. Our talented boys and girls performed in three incredible dances, showcasing their energy, commitment, and love of performing. In the lead-up to the big event, students dedicated themselves to five full-day rehearsals and even gave up their school breaks to keep practicing. Their hard work truly paid off, they were amazing on the dance floor and absolute superstars in the spotlight! Behind the scenes was just as memorable, with lots of laughter, teamwork, and fun shared backstage. It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved and one that we will cherish for years to come - Miss Boyd.
The incredible 25 choir singers that performed through 4 shows, were so well behaved and represented our school with pride. From performing at least every second song, changing props, grooving with the choralography and singing to support the featured artists, I cannot express enough how proud I am of each of them. I am especially proud of them for the moving choir items, where students walked down into the audience and sung amongst the crowd. It was a memorable experience and I know they will look back on it for years to come - Miss Houston
A huge thank you goes to the parents who supported our performers throughout this journey, from costume purchases, to make up and those cold and late pick ups and drop offs. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We are so proud of you all!
